Gilman Partners Launches Commercial Real Estate Practice

finan1After years of local and regional success conducting searches in commercial real estate and economic development, Gilman Partners has formalized and launched a Commercial Real Estate Practice, and will expand services throughout the Midwest and into the Southeast. The firm will continue to focus on mid-to-upper management positions in areas related to commercial real estate development, construction, and economic development, including ancillary industries like architecture and engineering. Leading the new practice is Partner Karen Finan, who joined Gilman Partners after a successful career with Duke Realty Corporation and Northern Kentucky Tri-County Economic Development Corporation (Tri-ED). In her new role, she will leverage her affiliations with organizations including Industrial Asset Management Council (IAMC) Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) and the University of Cincinnati Real Estate Roundtable. She will maintain her role with the firm's Non Profit Practice as well as overall responsibilities for business development. She is the Board Chair for the region's leading female entrepreneurial organization, Bad Girl Ventures (BGV), and was recently appointed to the board of Tri-ED. "The commercial real estate downturn several years ago forced many long-time professionals out of the industry," said Finan. "As economic development and real estate rebound, organizations are finding it more challenging than ever to fill mid-to-senior-level positions. Our extensive industry and business expertise provide clients value throughout the hiring process." Some of Gilman Partners' recent placements in the commercial real estate and economic development arena include Trey Grayson as president and CEO of the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Kentucky, leadership positions for KLH Engineers in Columbus, and positions for Uptown Rental Properties, Zalla Cos., Schueler Group, and Corporex.
