IF YOU COULD GIVE ONE PIECE OF ADVICE TO COMPANIES LOOKING TO HIRE, WHAT WOULD IT BE?
Finding a candidate who best fits your company culture sometimes outweighs finding the candidate who appears to fit the qualifications.
HOW DO YOU SEE THE PRACTICE OF RECRUITING AND RETAINING EMPLOYEES CHANGING IN THE NEXT FIVE YEARS?
I think our approach will evolve and change based on the market. As millennials mature in the workforce, I believe most of our clients may have to adjust to this generation/cultural shift which would ultimately change the way we approach our work. In addition, as innovation and technology improves, I foresee it playing a major role in the way we source and recruit candidates as well.
WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TODAY’S JOB SEEKERS?
Never underestimate the power of networking. Don't be afraid to get out and meet people and make positive connections. Don't rely on your resume/job application or even references to do all the work for you. Get out there and sell yourself.
WHAT ARE YOUR HOBBIES?
Outside of spending time with my family, I love to paint, which I’ve been doing for a little over a year now. It consumes a lot of my time and sometimes you can even find me performing at “Live Paintings” at Final Friday on Main Street in Over-the-Rhine.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE PART OF CINCINNATI/YOUR FAVORITE AREA TO EXPLORE?
I love exploring the parks of Cincinnati. There are so many of them and they’re full of variety. Outside of that, I reside close to Over-the-Rhine and love exploring its rich history and architecture.
