HOW DO YOU SEE THE PRACTICE OF RECRUITING/RETAINING EMPLOYEES CHANGING IN THE NEXT FIVE YEARS?

Compensation always plays a role, but time off and benefit programs will continue to take a larger role in employee satisfaction.  Culture fit is critical as well – you have to feel good about going to work every morning.

IF YOU COULD GIVE ONE PIECE OF ADVICE TO COMPANIES LOOKING TO HIRE, WHAT WOULD IT BE?

Be serious about the process and move consistently to keep it moving. Don’t forget to always be recruiting the candidate.  Even if they are not the right fit, you want them walking away feeling good about the interview experience.

WHAT IS YOUR ADVICE FOR TODAY’S JOB SEEKERS?

Know why you want to change roles – what are you looking for that you currently do not have? Compensation should not be the main reason.  Also, know your story because no one else can tell it like you.

WHAT ARE YOUR HOBBIES?

Cooking, exercise, and watching high school sports.  I also love movies and movie trivia.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE DISH TO COOK AND WHY?

I enjoy cooking a meal for a crowd, so my favorite type of meal to cook is a full one that a variety of people will enjoy.
