THE OPPORTUNITY

 

Our client is looking for an experienced construction professional who can quarterback their relationship with large, multi-campus clients in the Greater Cincinnati market while leading and developing a growing team of construction professionals. KEY SKILLS and JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, the Project Executive establishes project objectives and policies and maintains liaison with client contacts on multiple campuses and job sites in Greater Cincinnati
  • Monitors construction and financial activities through on-site Project Engineers and Project Managers
  • Participates in sales preparation, proposal meetings, and networking events; leads as part of the operations team on sales presentations
  • Actively promotes TriVersity through high profile involvement in community (e.g., community boards, committees, etc.)

  • Demonstrates ability to successfully manage (either directly or through staff/team) simultaneous projects of various types and through all phases
  • Demonstrates ability to manage design and design build projectsSuccessfully balances and prioritizes many difficult and demanding tasks/situations; ability to overcome obstacles and challenges both internally and externally

 

Ability to build and maintain customer confidence

  • Demonstrates understanding of the importance of serving the internal and external customer and successfully executes on customer service
  • Maintains and is recognized as having a positive and professional interactions with the owner(s)/customer(s)
  • Successfully negotiates all but exceptional project issues
  • Leads team/staff to provide excellent customer service

 

Mastery of project financials and success in project profitability

  • Leads project teams to successfully complete projects ranging from $2-$20 million each; Leads small project accounts of $25 million or greater (single or combined
  • Acts as “account manager” for critical clients
  • Demonstrates ability to manage/deliver consistently profitable projects

 

Manages risks and for safety of entire project

  • Effectively controls customer relations
  • Assumes the account responsibility for the company
  • Understands contract mitigation and leads dispute resolution
  • Acts as quality control leader

 

IDEAL CANDIDATES’ QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCE

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related industry degree
  • 10+ years commensurate experience as a Project Manager, Senior Project Manager or Project Executive
  • Effective manager of Project Managers, Superintendents, and other team members
  • Exceptional leadership and team building skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; able to present to internal and external audiences
  • Exceptional knowledge of cost/claim avoidance
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office suite and other industry/company related programs
