Our client is a family owned American manufacturer. In business for 50+ years they have produced quality products for the many industries including oil & gas, mining, masonry, grouting and plastering industries. They are diversified through their four operating divisions, each serving very unique niche markets. Our client maintains three US locations and a network of representatives worldwide.

  

JOB SUMMARY: 

The VP Sales Operations ensures the efficient and profitable day to day management of the division sales team and products.  Direct management of the sales team, with cross-functional collaboration of engineering, operations, and supply chain.  Collaborative teamwork among functional departments to drive profitability and customer service.  Member of the Management Leadership team participates in strategic planning, budget controls, and opportunities for business development as it relates to the individual business unit.

 

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Technical leader of division, providing strategic and tactical management in collaboration with customers and cross-functional staff.
  • Drive sales revenue, gross margins, and bottom line profitability through leadership of technical relationships, sales department, and key network contacts.
  • Build relationships with key decision makers within market, domestic and international.
  • Maintain sales management plan per domestic and international regions.
  • Develop and maintain qualified sales and support staff.  Lead evaluation, training, coach/mentor, and development with collaboration of HR Manager.
  • Manage business development activities to manage existing and new channel development.
  • Manage, review, and analyze SalesForce reports for accurate management and forecasting.
  • Set pricing with collaboration with Controller.
  • Conduct bi-weekly update meetings.
  • Resolve key customer complaints.
  • Accountable for overall divisional profitability, supporting sales activities, and annual budget.
  • Maintain sales management plan per domestic and international regions.
  • Develop and maintain qualified sales and support staff.  Lead evaluation, training, coach/mentor, and development with collaboration of HR Manager.

IDEAL CANDIDATES’ QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: 

  • 10 plus years of progressive sales, customer service, or engineering project roles.
  • 5 plus years of sales, customer service, or account management.
  • Industrial/Commercial equipment with capital long-lead cycle a real plus
  • Knowledgeable of API standards, codes, and legislation activities a plus
  • Proficient with MS Office, CRM (SalesForce preferred) and ERP systems.
  • Act as steward of the culture, assets, and communication that drive attitudes, behaviors, policies, and procedures.
  • Bachelor’s Degree Required- technical preferred.
  • Master’s Business Administration preferred – or other professional certifications
