Cheney DYNOS Inc. - Accountant

THE OPPORTUNITY
This role drives all of the accounting processes and procedures for a pulping organization in Franklin Ohio. You will be responsible for:
- All accounting including AP/AR, inventory, etc.
- Onboarding employees and all payroll activities
- Tracking all insurances including medical, dental and unemployment

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (JOB SUMMARY)
General Accounting:
- Bi-weekly/Quarterly/Month end procedures
- Reporting duties to Germany
- Enter purchase orders and customer/vendor invoices
- Enter daily production / raw materials and inventories received
- Reconcile all inventory items
- Track inventories/vendors/items ordered/customers and history
- Pay invoices due
- Setting up/updating changes for vendors.
- Credit applications
- Cash flow report and forecast
Payroll:
- All new hires or terminations
- New hire and termination paperwork
- Simple IRA tracking and filing
- Expense reimbursement
- Claims for STD
- Bonus tracking (depending on how based)
- EE reports and spreadsheet they need for loans/garnishing
- Payroll reports for insurance company/Banks/ BWC
- Prepare reports to send to outsourced payroll company
- Tracking vacation/personal days
- Drug testing
Insurance:
- Renewals for med dental eye
- Claims denied assistance
- Unemployment/Workers comp claims
- BWC reporting and yearly filing/compliance reporting
- OSHA compliance record keeping/annual training
- Compliance postings and notifications
IDEAL CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- 5+ years of accounting experience in a plant environment
- Strong knowledge and application of GAAP accounting policies and practices
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Sage 50
