The IT Services team is a strategic practice unit within GBQ that empowers growth of client’s businesses by delivering UT strategy, risk, management, and assurance services serving clients throughout the Midwest with a majority of clients located in Ohio or surrounding states.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (JOB SUMMARY)

  1. Provide information technology auditing and advisory services to our clients, including a variety of the following System and Organization Controls (SOC) examination engagements involving SOC 1 – primarily financial business process controls and IT general controls, and SOC 2 – primarily organizational governance, IT security, IT operations and change management controls
  2. IT auditing in support of our firm’s financial audit practice (IT General Controls and Sarbanes Oxley internal control testing)
  3. Regulatory IT controls assessments for financial institutions
  4. Planning, scheduling of staff resources and project schedules
  5. Develop programs, plans, and approaches for assigned client engagements
  6. Supervise and review all work of seniors, staff, and interns on assigned client engagements
  7. Responsible for supervising, mentoring training and supporting the development of seniors, staff, and interns
  8. Communicate status of work, problems, and findings to both internal GBQ management and clients
  9. Collaborate with firm leaders, other departments and client leadership to identify issues and develop and implement solutions to address issues identified
  10. Review engagement profitability and prepare and analyze monthly billing for assigned engagements
  11. Develop and deliver executive presentations, summaries of audit results and lead client and internal meetings

IDEAL CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; major in business, accounting or information systems preferred
  2. Minimum of 5 years of external audit experience; internal controls or IT audit experience preferred (not required)
  3. Minimum of 5 years of experience within a public accounting/consulting firm preferred (not required)
  4. 2 years of hands-on experience in information technology desired.
  5. CPA or on a path to complete the CPA exam
  6. CISA, CISM, CISSP certification or comparable accreditation preferred, or plans to obtain in the future
