Plant Manufacturing Manager

The Plant Manufacturing Manager will lead all manufacturing operations and will play an important role on the Leadership Team. In this role the right individual will thrive on working within the organization to continue the strong growth they have realized throughout the years. They will be a value-add contributor and strong team player, understanding the market and the core needs of the company’s customers. The Plant Manufacturing Manager will work in collaboration with the Engineering and Operations Teams to ensure products and their commitment to their customers are met as scheduled. This person will successfully deliver and meet the customer’s expectations in quality and will work to promote and drive strong innovation, new product efforts and initiatives. This person will be expected to drive the initiatives in a systematic manner with a strong change management structure and will communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.




  • Management of plant manufacturing areas, including managers, leads, and hourly associates
  • Develop, monitor, and communicate Key Performance Indicators to drive efficiency and quality
  • Continuously monitor quality standards and champion improvements
  • Develop agile workforce organization to train Leads and Managers for sustainable manufacturing operations
  • Champion Gemba Walk with collaborative management to drive efficiencies and quality
  • Monitor and adjust employee headcount based on current seasonal needs, training, or project-based work
  • Implement LEAN work cell process improvements
  • Identify and lead quality and manufacturing efficiencies
  • Coordinate, identify critical path, and adjust resources as needed for on-time delivery for successful plant floor operations
  • Prepare, manage, and report operating metrics and budget variances.
  • Hire and train new employees
  • Capacity planning for man-power and machine capabilities
  • Collaborate with Engineering Manager for quality, manufacturing, and capital improvements
  • Overall site and facility responsibility, including physical plant utilities, security, and operations
  • Accountable for company safety procedures





  • 10+ Years manufacturing experience in multiple leadership roles
  • 3+ Years manufacturing experience with direct management experience
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience in job shop manufacturing environment (high mix with Bill of Material, Router, and Travelers) with metal fabrication, powder coating, assembly, and shipping is a plus
  • Management of diverse skill set of managers, leads, exempt, and non-exempt employees
  • Leadership, team building, and management skills with interpersonal skills and communications with all levels of management and shop floor employees
  • Conflict resolution between departments and employees
  • Able to travel on occasion
