Location:   Cincinnati, OH

Salary:   $60,000



CLIENT SUMMARY: The Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati’s (TCT) mission is to educate, entertain and engage audiences of all ages through professional theatrical productions and arts education programming. They fulfill our mission through three primary programs:

  • TCT Mainstage at the Taft Theatre

JOB SUMMARY:  The Sales Manager will assist the organization in fulfilling its mission of educating, entertaining and engaging audiences of all ages through professional theatrical productions and arts education programming. A successful Sales manager will not only lead TCT internally to achieve its mission, but will be an active advocate in the community, fostering and developing strategic relationships with customers.



  • Frequent sales calls, emails and in-person visits to current and prospective clients.
  • Tracking of all interactions with clients and subsequent bookings in existing Pipedrive and Spektrix software and Excel spreadsheet.
  • Sending out contracts and ensuring executed contracts go to the Finance Director for timely invoicing.
  • Maintain TCT on Tour shared calendar and update on a timely basis.
  • Work closely with Marketing, Education Director, Tour Manager and Associate Artistic Director when scheduling and to ensure consistent communication of existing offerings.
  • Ensure that measurement tools are being utilized (such as surveys and performance reports).  Maintain this data and work with Development & Volunteer Manager to ensure surveys are revised as appropriate.
  • Utilize the department of education web sites for Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana to gather data as needed for marketing, research and statistics to better understand our sales potential and to further our reach in the community. 
  • Explore opportunities to showcase our educational programs – in-person presentations to parent/teacher organizations, principals, superintendents, conferences for educators, venues, and attendance at education fairs throughout local districts.
  • Work with Marketing to manage school and TCT on Tour mailing lists.
  • Maintain and grow working knowledge of districts, school locations, staff, changes in administration, teachers.
  • Maintain up-to-date email lists for all districts – on-going web research for email contacts for e-campaigns about the season and other educational opportunities (coordinate with Marketing & Sales Director).
  • Develop and implement a plan for MainStage public group sales.
  • Identify and implement ways to promote TCT Academy offerings within the schools we serve.



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Sales and Marketing or related field
  • Sales experience a must, theater experience not a requirement.
  • Must be outgoing, energetic and a self-starter.
  • Demonstrated ability to be a team player.
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office.
