Our client is seeking a dynamic and talented V.P. of Finance to work collaboratively with its company’s President, controller in its Canadian office and the Corporate CFO in Sweden. They will be responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day operational accounting, month end close procedures, all aspects of financial planning and analysis and aiding the North American group President in preparing the company forecasts.




  • Promote the company’s mission and values
  • Provide leadership and vision to the finance department of the US and Canadian organizations
  • As part of the management team of the SNA group, aid in the design, implementation and management of the group’s yearly business strategy, objectives and key results
  • Aid the President in the management and direction of the overall operations in North America
  • Spearhead and support business development initiatives that are consistent with the company's overall strategy
  • Aid the President and Global CFO in the management of complex contract negotiation and work with legal counsel as required
  • Develop budgets/forecasts to be approved by the President and Board; and help ensure each department adheres to them
  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting to Parent Company
  • Maintain oversight and ensure accuracy of records such as AR, AP, Inventory, Fixed assets etc.
  • Hire, train and terminate staff as needed in the assigned departments
  • Handle employee relations, training, performance management and improvement systems in the departments assigned
  • Ensure a high customers service, client satisfaction, accurate documentation and data records, client and vendor file integrity
    • Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements
    • Process payroll in a timely manner
    • Ensure that periodic bank reconciliations are completed
    • Ensure that required debt payments are made on a timely basis
    • Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions
    • Issue timely and complete financial statements
    • Coordinate the preparation of the corporate annual report
    • Recommend benchmarks against which to measure the performance of company operations
    • Calculate and issue financial and operating metrics
    • Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts
    • Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to management
    • Provide for a system of management cost reports
    • Provide financial analyses as needed, in particular for capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations


  • The position will be measured by the timeliness and accuracy of the reporting of the financial statements to Sweden and the North American Group President
  • The position will also be measured by an ability to maintain the accounts payable and receivable balances at an acceptable level
  • The position will be graded in their ability to complete company projects and goals on-time; as assigned. 



  • Bachelor’s degree with a preference for an Accounting major
  • Knowledge/Skill set of:
  • Accounting principles under GAAP and IFRS rules
  • Economic and accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, banking and the analysis and reporting of financial data.
  • Business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
  • Laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, government regulations, executive orders, agency rules, and the democratic political process
  • M&A experience
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal), Strong listening skills and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX, with Admin level user experience
  • Proactive, self-starter, solutions focused and requiring little supervision
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office, in particular: required knowledge of Excel customization, creation and use of pivot tables, Excel’s new table creation and synchronization; and some experience in VBA programming for Excel
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in United States as permanent residents
  • Valid passport and ability to travel throughout North America, and to Sweden for training; as required.
