Zoeller Pump Company (“ZPC”, zoellerpumps.com)  is the largest division of the Zoeller Company.  Through its 470 employees, ZPC manufactures 1/3 Hp to 50 Hp sump, effluent and sewage pumps primarily for residential end-use as well as specific industrial and municipal market applications.  ZPC sells its products through a network of highly experienced manufacturer representatives and global sales offices. 

 

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

This is a unique opportunity to lead the largest division of the Zoeller company.  Reporting directly to the COO of the Zoeller Company in Louisville, the ZPC President will be responsible for:   

 

  • Creating strategy and plans for company growth and profitability, including the development of ancillary product markets
  • Managing the profits, capital expenditures and operating budget
  • Working with manufacturing reps, wholesalers, contractors and retailers to increase visibility to end-users
  • Augmenting the E-commerce presence
  • Appraisal and evaluation of all operations and processes
  • The following staff (all direct unless otherwise noted):
    • Sales and Marketing Director
    • HR Manager
    • Engineering Manager
    • Quality Manager
    • Operations Manager
    • Manager of Embedded Controls
    • IT Manager (indirect, solid line to CIO)
    • Division Controller (indirect, solid line to Corporate Controller)
    • Establishing strong relationships and a high level of collaboration with leaders of other Zoeller business units and the corporate staff (e.g. CFO, CMO, Chief People Officer) within the matrixed Zoeller organization
    • Helping to select targets for acquisition and leading integration of acquired companies
    • Becoming an integral part of the Louisville community, living by Zoeller values and truly caring about employees and their families

 

 

IDEAL CANDIDATES’ QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: 

Required:

  • Success as the Commercial or Marketing leader, COO or President of a highly engineered, discrete manufacturing company
  • Evident ability to scale between strategic and tactical challenges and opportunities
  • History of successful people leadership, talent assessment and team building
  • Track record of setting and accomplishing meaningful business goals
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or related field

 

Preferred:

  • Leadership experience in engineered water system products (e.g. pumps, valves, piping) or a closely related industry
  • History of managing multiple functions including marketing and sales, manufacturing, operations, finance, quality
  • Family business experience
  • Previous full P&L responsibility
