Their automated systems are designed to optimize space and improve the pick/pack and storage operations in many different industries and applications. Utilizing their innovative systems increases productivity and vastly improves the physical strain on employees in these environments. They are seeking to expand into many different industries and businesses, expanding their current worldwide customer base. Our client has manufacturing plants in Ohio and Maine with headquarters in Europe and subsidiaries around the globe.

 

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

The Business Development Manager will take their motivation and drive to join a dynamic team of leaders, sales, and operation experts. As the Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the company’s growth by identifying new business opportunities, building strong relationships with clients, and expanding the market presence in the ASRS industry. 

  • Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape within the ASRS industry. Utilize insights to formulate effective business strategies.
  • Sales and Lead Generation: Identify potential clients, markets, and industries that align with the company’s capabilities and goals. Develop and execute strategies to generate leads, cold call, network, and attend industry events to expand the customer base.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and nurture long-lasting relationships with new and existing clients. Understand their unique needs, provide solutions, and act as a trusted advisor to offer tailored ASRS solutions that address their operational challenges.
  • Solution Presentations: Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to prospective clients. Articulate the value proposition of our ASRS products and services, showcasing how they can enhance efficiency, productivity, and cost effectiveness.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including sales, engineering, manufacturing, and marketing to ensure seamless communication and alignment of strategies. Collaborate on the development of innovative solutions to meet evolving market demands. Negotiations: Lead contract negotiations, pricing discussions, and terms of agreement with clients. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure profitable deals while maintaining customer satisfaction.
  • Sales Metrics and Reporting: Set and achieve sales targets, track progress, and provide regular reports to senior management. Analyze sales data to identify trends and areas for improvement. Strategic Planning: Contribute to the development of long-term business strategies, including market expansion, product diversification, and geographic growth.
  • Industry Knowledge: Stay up to date with industry developments, technological advancements, and competitor activities to maintain a competitive edge in the ASRS market.

 

IDEAL CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, engineering, or a related field is a plus.
  • Proven track record of at least 5 years in business development, sales, or related roles within the manufacturing, logistics or technology sector, preferably in ASRS, supply chain or industrial automation.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required
