The Castellini Company is one of the premier privately-held companies in Cincinnati with facilities in Northern KY and Atlanta, GA area and more than 400 employees. Over 100 years old, they are entering a period of tremendous growth that encompasses new products and services, expansion into new geographies, and new talent and systems across the company. To better align with and serve their customers, they are transitioning from a commercial wholesale distributor to a 3PL service provider. They offer services that include contract and outsourced production/packing, kitting, warehousing, supply chain/logistics, and transportation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (JOB SUMMARY)
We are seeking a Finance Manager/Senior Accountant to join the team at the Atlanta facility located in Conley, GA. This position is responsible for providing timely and accurate financial information for management use, maintaining, and ascertaining the integrity of accounting records for the purpose of compiling, reconciling, adjusting and/or reclassifying accounting and operational information to meet company and reporting requirements. This person will be responsible for consolidating the Atlanta data and performing the month-end close for Cincinnati.
The Accountant/Analyst will report to the CFO based in Cincinnati, with dotted line responsibility and daily interaction with the Atlanta facility Plant Manager. The Accountant/Analyst will:
- Manage month-end close. Interface with corporate AP and AR teams to answer questions and get information needed for close.
- Complete financial reports in an accurate and timely manner. Clearly communicate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements including variances to Atlanta and Cincinnati management. Provide recommendations for change and improvement.
- Perform analysis on parts of the business that impact the bottom line such as: transportation costs, customer profitability, contracts, pricing, workforce costs, etc.
- Maintain internal controls and safeguards of company property and accuracy of financial information.
- Support audits by providing requested information.
- Set up new processes and procedures and identify opportunities for operational improvements.
- Collaborate with Atlanta management and the various departments on ad-hoc analysis as needed to provide leadership with insight into the operations and the impact to the business.
- Identify other analysis needed and take the initiative to dig into details and provide information to management.
- Participate in corporate accounting/finance projects as needed (improving systems, processes, etc.)
IDEAL CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Financial Systems and Excel proficiency required (VLOOKUP, Data extraction and manipulation, etc.)
- General Ledger, Financial Reporting, GAAP experience
- Experience with month and year-end close processes and balance sheet reconciliations
- Budgeting and forecasting experience
THE PAYOFF
This role will report directly to the CFO of Castellini. This role has the opportunity to automate processes and dive deeper into financial reporting. In addition, your insights will help the site leaders make informed decisions that directly impact the profitability of the location.

You will need to be in the office most days during the onboarding process (the first 30-60 days). After that, you will have the flexibility to work from home 1-2 days a week.
