Amber Brown is the Director of Talent & Education at Gilman Partners. In her role, she is responsible for running day-to-day operations of GP Elevate, our firm’s leadership development program designed to prepare high-potential leaders for executive roles. She also oversees the firm’s internal and external talent development and education initiatives.

Amber has nearly 20 years of experience in program development, HR and people operations, and organizational development with a focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion as well as a strengths-based approach to leadership development. In previous roles with the YMCA, United Way, and Mayerson Academy and her current board role with School Board School Amber has focused on community efforts to improve academic outcomes for local youth and families. A self-proclaimed education equity advocate, she’s had a lifelong interest in maximizing community impact while also strengthening organizations from the inside out.

Amber has extensive experience in the areas of K-12 grantmaking, strategic planning and facilitation, relationship management, change leadership, and team development. She holds a B.S. in Marketing from Xavier University and an M.A. in Philanthropic Studies from IUPUI.
