Important Reminders for Candidates

Recruitment scams are becoming more common, with fraudsters impersonating executive search consultants and promoting fake job opportunities using the names of legitimate firms.

A few important reminders for candidates:

  • Our search consultants will email candidates only from an address ending in @gilmanpartners.com, never from a personal email account. Check the spelling carefully, as fraudulent messages may use a similar-looking domain.
  • We will never ask a candidate to pay a fee to be considered for an opportunity.
  • Be cautious of requests for financial information or sensitive identification documents, such as a driver’s license, passport or Social Security number, particularly early in the process.
  • If a message seems suspicious, do not click links or download attachments. Contact the search firm directly using information from its official website to verify the sender and opportunity.
