WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

As a Sales Engineer at Solutions in Action, you will play a crucial role in driving our business growth by actively engaging with prospective clients and promoting our innovative solutions. You will collaborate closely with our marketing, management, and engineering teams to understand customer needs, develop comprehensive proposals, and deliver compelling presentations that effectively communicate the value of our products and services.

In this role, you will:

  • Identify and engage potential clients within the industrial automation and material handling industry.
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis of customer requirements to develop tailored solutions that meet their specific needs.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to create detailed technical proposals and project specifications.
  • Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations to key decision-makers, highlighting the benefits and ROI of our solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, acting as a trusted advisor and providing ongoing support throughout the sales cycle.
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms to ensure successful deal closure while maximizing profitability.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.
  • Attend trade shows, industry events, and conferences to showcase our products and services in order to generate leads.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop sales materials; including brochures, case studies, and product demonstrations.
  • Provide regular sales forecasts, reports, and updates to the sales management team.

 

IDEAL CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering is preferred.
  • CAD software experience
  • Proven track record in technical sales, preferably within the industrial automation or material handling industry.
  • Strong technical understanding of complex engineering concepts and effectively communicate them to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and other sales tools.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites and attend industry events as required.
