ABOUT THE COMPANY
Meals on Wheels (MOW) is a mission-based, not-for-profit organization that is “much more than a meal.” MOW delivers essential services as part of a two-part strategic plan to promote the independence of seniors. Their strategy focuses on services seniors need so they may remain in the comfort of their own homes as well as services to combat social isolation known to be a growing risk to health and wellbeing. These services include meal service delivery, transportation, pet support, senior services, health and wellness programming, and more.
MOW has grown to be one of the largest Meals on Wheels America affiliate nationwide. The organization is not only looking to sustain its current impact of serving well over 1M meals and 11,000 seniors annually in 13 counties but also expand its capacity to positively impact even more seniors. To that end, they have a capital campaign well underway with the purpose to double the number of meals they serve in a new, larger facility on Highland Ave, support innovation and new sources of revenue, and broaden the social impact through the range of services they provide.
