Proximo Spirits, Inc., is a $1B+ American multinational alcoholic beverage company, with its headquarters in Jersey City, New Jersey. It is a major distributor of tequila and other spirits, best known for Jose Cuervo, the world’s largest-selling tequila brand. With over 300 employees, the Lawrenceburg, IN facility (Proximo Distillers Indiana – PDI) bottles about 15 million cases a year for all North America.

 

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

The Continuous Improvement (CI) Manager will lead the Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) efforts and help shape Proximo North America’s strategy and goals (OGSM). You will drive a culture of continuous improvement, use digital tools to quickly identify and eliminate losses, and work with teams across the supply chain to boost productivity.   • Serving as a key member of the site’s senior leadership team, influencing strategy and operational excellence.
  • Leading the organization’s Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and digitalization efforts to improve efficiency and reduce operational losses
  • Developing and implementing performance systems, including audits, health checks, and metrics tracking (OEE, schedule adherence)
  • Driving a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and quality through employee engagement and accountability at all levels
  • Owning the problem-solving process and provides coaching, tools, and training to support sustainable solutions
  • Guiding the planning and execution of OGSM strategies, ensuring alignment with global and regional objectives
  • Coordinating productivity initiatives across departments and supports cross-functional collaboration
  • Managing and developing Continuous Improvement (CI) leads and supports training on TPM tools and methods
  • Leading kaizen events, SMED projects, and root cause analysis to address performance gaps
  • Tracking progress of key projects using digital tools and reports status to leadership

 

IDEAL CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field required (e.g., MBA, MSc in Operations Management, or Lean/TPM/CI-related specialization). Preferred Master’s degree
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment with at least five years of experience leading a TPM or continuous improvement program
  • Certification in TPM or lean manufacturing
  • Proficiency in data analysis
  • Desirable Green or black belt certification
  • Knowledge of laws governing the area of Quality and Food Safety in the US and Canada
  • Has the Business Acumen to make strategic, timely decisions with a strong understanding of profitability and market dynamics
  • Has Planning & Organizing skills to Effectively prioritizes tasks, allocates resources, and sets actionable goals
  • Has Problem Solving skills analysing issues, developing solutions, and collaborating well in group settings
  • Communicates clearly, listens actively, and presents ideas effectively
  • Encourages collaboration, supports team goals, and fosters a positive team environment
