Solvita has six locations across the country. This position is in Dayton, Ohio.

  

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING 

  • Manage the complete employee life cycle, including selection, training, supervision, evaluation, and counseling.
  • Coach and motivate staff for efficient manufacturing operations, deploy continuous improvement initiatives, assign tasks, and review team performance.
  • Ensure comprehensive management of department employees, from recruitment and training to evaluation, development counseling, and discipline.
  • Oversee the seamless transfer of product design to manufacturing using internal and external resources.
  • Oversee procedures, reports, and activities to enhance accuracy and identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Collaborate with the Vice President and direct reports to monitor external and internal changes, developing long-term plans accordingly.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

 

IDEAL CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, with a strong preference for Engineering. Masters Degree would be a plus.
  • Must have a minimum of five years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing, with a preference for medical device or biologic manufacturing. Clean room experience is a plus.
  • Experience in LEAN manufacturing or similar improvement processes.
  • Proficiency in current Good Manufacturing Practices, especially in medical device manufacturing.
  • Previous experience managing external suppliers and development partners.
  • Strong preference for candidates with a track record of leading turnarounds to improve manufacturing processes and productivity.
  • Ambitious leader with excellent communication skills, dedicated to inspiring excellence and achieving process improvement goals.
  • Highly organized individual with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Experience leading turnaround in a manufacturing process to improve processes and productivity is strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of domestic and international medical device standards and quality management systems (ISO 13485) preferred.
