This position is at the corporate office in Cincinnati, Ohio and onsite full-time.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
The Global Controller will play a pivotal role in ensuring the global financial foundation supports growth with integrity, precision, and vision. This role will lead global financial operations and ensure accurate, compliant, and scalable accounting practices across the global footprint including Jedson Med SAL, JEPR LLC Puerto Rico, and emerging Canadian, European, and Middle Eastern entities. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), this role will manage all global accounting, consolidation, and compliance activities while strengthening the financial infrastructure to support continued growth. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting skills, experience in project-based environments, and proven leadership in building global financial controls. The Global Controller will be responsible for the following:
Global Financial Management & Reporting
- Oversee accounting and financial reporting across global operations, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP, (IFRS where applicable) and local statutory requirements.
- Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes for all non-US entities, ensuring timely consolidation into corporate financials.
- Develop and maintain global internal control frameworks to ensure consistency, accuracy, and transparency of financial data.
- Partner with the CFO to produce detailed variance analyses, revenue forecasts, and board-level reporting for global performance.
- Support corporate budgeting, pro forma forecasting, and capital planning for all global locations.
Global Operations & Compliance
- Manage accounting operations for Jedson Med SAL, JEPR LLC Puerto Rico, and future European subsidiaries. Ensure compliance with all local tax, labor, and statutory reporting requirements.
- Coordinate with external legal and audit partners to manage local filings, registrations, and statutory audits.
- Oversee foreign exchange exposure, global treasury, and banking relationships.
- Ensure compliance with intercompany agreements, transfer pricing, and local tax strategies in coordination with external tax advisors.
Project Accounting & Cost Control
- Partner closely with operations, human resources, and project controls to ensure accurate project cost allocation, direct billing, and revenue recognition across time-and-materials and fixed-fee projects.
- Partner with project controls to provide financial insight into project profitability, labor utilization, and margin performance by geography, discipline, and client.
- Standardize project coding, billing structures, and reporting across global offices to ensure consistent visibility of cost and revenue performance.
- Monitor and analyze cost-per-hire and project labor trends to support financial planning and headcount forecasting.
Leadership & Systems Integration
- Lead and develop the global accounting team, promoting collaboration and accountability across U.S. and global finance functions.
- Partner with HR and IT to improve ADP Workforce Now, payroll integrations, and ERP alignment across entities.
- Evaluate and enhance ERP and accounting tools for global scalability.
- Drive automation and process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce financial risk.
IDEAL CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.
- CPA or MBA preferred but not required.
- 10+ years of progressive corporate accounting experience, including experience in a multinational or project-based organization (engineering, construction, or professional services preferred). 5+ years in a leadership role.
- Deep technical knowledge of U.S. GAAP. Exposure to IFRS and global accounting standards required.
- Demonstrated experience with global consolidations, intercompany accounting, multi-currency environments, and foreign subsidiary management.
- Strong understanding of direct-billing, labor cost allocation, and project-based financial structures.
- Proficient in ERP systems (Deltek, NetSuite, SAP, or equivalent) and advanced Excel/Power BI analysis.
