The Role

Gilman Partners is seeking a Marketing & Communications Director to manage all day-to-day marketing activities from strategic planning to content creation and execution. Reporting to our CEO, the Marketing & Communications Director will work to increase awareness of Gilman Partners’ brand and services, establish the firm as a talent leader in the Greater Cincinnati region and beyond, support the work of the firm’s Practice Groups, and help connect clients and those in the GP network to talent-related trends and education. This is a hybrid role with the opportunity for the team member to work remotely two days a week, as their schedule permits.

 

What You’ll be Doing 

Marketing

  • Create and execute the organization’s marketing strategy.
  • Work with GP team to create and execute marketing strategies in new cities as well as for GP Elevate, the firm’s executive leadership development program.
  • Develop and manage the annual marketing budget.
  • Stay up to date on trends in the recruiting and talent industries and look for opportunities to share those trends internally and externally.
  • Identify media relations opportunities and pitch relevant stories.
  • Write thought leadership pieces on behalf of Gilman Partners and/or Gilman Partners team members for the GP blog, media outlets, and other platforms.
  • Manage all Gilman Partners social media activity, including social media strategy, content creation, and social media management and tracking.
  • Manage the content and images on the Gilman Partners website; work with a contract web developer to make edits and improve functionality.
  • Optimize Gilman Partners’ digital presence, including SEO efforts.
  • Find ways to incorporate video into Gilman Partners’ website and social media channels.
  • Coordinate Gilman Partners’ internal and external events (along with team support) including monthly roundtables, social events/holiday party and annual client event.
  • Manage existing sponsorships and create ads, graphics and content for sponsorships, as necessary.
  • Identify opportunities for additional community involvement and professional sponsorships.
  • Help prepare presentations and accompanying visuals.
  • Develop email marketing strategy and design, write, send, and track all emails.
  • Design simple graphics and materials that reflect the Gilman Partners brand.
  • Attend networking and industry events on behalf of Gilman Partners.

Business Development Support

  • Work with team to customize/edit business development materials when new opportunities arise.
  • Customize/edit new business proposals to ensure they represent GP well and target the needs of each potential client and search.

 

Experience

  • Exceptional business writing skills are a requirement.
  • 8+ years of general marketing experience including social media management, content creation, email marketing, media relations, website management, and graphic design
  • 3+ years of proven success leading marketing for an organization or client
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines concurrently
  • Ability to prioritize projects and re-prioritize as new assignments come in
  • Successful experience with Mailchimp, or similar email marketing platform
  • Ability to quickly and skillfully design basic graphics and images that reflect brand standards; partner with an external graphic designer for more complex design assignments
