KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (JOB SUMMARY)

The Plant Supervisor will oversee the ongoing operations, and procedures of the assembly plant in the Baton Rouge area. The right candidate will be an efficient technician and leader with people skills, great business acumen, and exemplary work ethic. The Plant Supervisor’s responsibilities and essential functions will include:

  • Change agent responsible for leading ISCO’s operational in Baton Rouge, LA area.
  • Maintain operations team and plant infrastructure to meet a 5-7 operation.
  • Directly manage multi-department plant with 10-12 employees in Fabrication, Rental, and Distribution areas.
  • Provide hands on support to employees and all facility needs. Lead from the front, not the desk.
  • Collaborate with production planning team by phone and email, coordinating activities and dealing with ambiguity around changing business needs daily.
  • Manage plant expenses.
  • Drive culture to ensure a safe and efficient operation.
  • Oversee and monitor Safety programs and initiatives to ensure employee and company compliance with applicable laws and standards.
  • Master ISCO’s Quality Management System.
  • Support high employee engagement.
  • Establish optimum schedule to maximize efficiency.
  • Drive operational reports and Key Performance Indicators.
  • Improve operational processes, develop and challenge team members. Participate in some minor recruiting initiatives in the geographic area.
  • Foster a culture of continuous development while building future leaders.

 

IDEAL CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s in Business Administration, Engineering, or a closely related field is preferred but relevant work experience will be considered.
  • 5 years’ experience leading and managing a manufacturing/warehouse/distribution environment.
  • Proficient knowledge and business use of Microsoft Office products.
  • Training and onboarding will require travel.
