RWI Logistics is a non-asset based logistics solutions provider located in Fort Thomas, Kentucky, and a part of the Castellini Group of Companies.  RWI offers transportation services, 3PL services, and freight management services to customers throughout the US.  RWI specializes in serving the temperature-controlled freight supply chain nationwide, an important component in the produce, meat, dairy, and larger food and beverage industries.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

Due to continued growth and a strategic goal to double in size, RWI is adding a Sales Director to their team.  The Sales Director is responsible for maximizing business results towards the achievement of team and company objectives, while maintaining alignment with company vision and enterprise objectives. You will directly generate revenue and drive new business through prospecting, soliciting, face-to-face sales meetings, building relationships, presenting recommendations for supply chain improvements, and closing sales.  You will then play a crucial in ensuring successful customer implementation and ongoing satisfaction.

 

IDEAL CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Prospecting and Pipeline Growth:  Plan and execute direct prospecting activities to drive personal pipeline growth that results in consistently closing new business in all of company service offerings to meet and exceed annual sales revenue and gross margin goals.
  • Consultative Selling and Customer Understanding:  Use a consultative selling strategy to understand the customers’ business, including their current situation and their future direction, and propose a series of solutions and capabilities that exceed their needs and enhance their ability to drive improved business results.
  • Sales Process Management:  Manage all aspects of the sales process on all opportunities including initial qualification, evaluation, close and implementation. Collaborates internally with various teams on pricing strategy and account implementation plans.
  • Customer Information Collection and Implementation:  Collect relevant customer information for RFPs and prepares documents for customer implementation in order to ensure proper operational handover and implementation to meet customer expectations.
  • Industry Knowledge and Adaptability:  Develop a thorough understanding of company service offerings and value propositions; leverage data and analytics to make business decisions; remain agile with the ever-changing industry landscape and stays up-to-date on industry trends.
  • Sales Reporting and Analysis:  Analyze weekly sales reports and metrics to assess trends and performance against budget/forecast, and provide timely/accurate updates to leadership regarding results.
  • Operational Support and Strategic Initiative:  Leverage operational support across the company to drive initiatives and support strategic growth objectives.

 

KEY PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • A minimum of 5-10 years’ experience in supply chain, transportation, logistics, 3PL, dedicated/outsourced logistics/warehousing, freight management, or other associated industries.
  • A proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth in relationship-based solution sales.
  • Sales career progression.
  • Strong work ethic and self-motivated.
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem solving.
  • Successful track record of collaborating with key stakeholders resulting in high internal and external customer satisfaction.
  • Excellent analytical and presentation skills along with verbal and written communication skills.
  • Independent professional with commitment to executional excellence and ability to meet and exceed sales goals.

This role is based in Ft. Thomas, KY and the sales director will be expected to be in the office when not visiting clients.
