ABOUT THE COMPANY

Proximo Spirits, Inc., is a $1B+ American multinational alcoholic beverage company, with its headquarters in Jersey City, New Jersey. It is a major distributor of tequila and other spirits, best known for Jose Cuervo, the world’s largest-selling tequila brand. With over 300 employees, the Lawrenceburg, IN facility (Proximo Distillers Indiana – PDI) bottles about 15 million cases a year for all of North America.

 

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

Reporting to the Plant General Manager, the Senior Operations Manager will be based in Lawrenceburg, IN and lead a team of 10 direct reports including 6 Shift Supervisors (2 per shift), 2 Maintenance Supervisors, each on 1st shift, and 2 Process Engineers, each on 1st shift. The Senior Operations Manager and this team lead approximately 140 employees while maintaining established and positive relationships with three unions (UFCW, AM, and AEW). As Proximo continues to implement TPM and operational excellence, the Senior Operations Manager will lead the Site Autonomous Maintenance Pillar Team and will actively contribute to the achievement of all the site goals as a Leader or Member of selected management systems.

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for TPM implementation throughout the Bottling Value Stream
  • Execute End-to-End Loss Eradication to drive Zero-loss mindset
  • Drive site-wide improvement as the Autonomous Maintenance/Management Pillar Lead
  • Supervise day-to-day plant maintenance and operations personnel to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operation in compliance with warranty requirements, and corporate policies and procedures.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies and policies to achieve organizational goals and objectives
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify area for improvement and subsequent corrective actions
  • Collaborate with department heads and Pillar leads to establish and maintain effective communication, ensuring the streamlined flow of information across the organization
  • Promote the culture of Proximo’s and PDI’s Values and Principles
  • Invest in, coach and develop the team and your own skillset

 

IDEAL CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Engineering or related field
  • Proven experience in operations management with a world class facility
  • Experience in TPM, Zero-loss or WCOM environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in using relevant software and tools to streamline operations and drive continuous improvement.
