WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

Reporting to the Technical Qualification Manager, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the testing and qualification of temperature-controlled packaging systems for the US and LATAM regions. This role will require close collaboration with cross-functional teams and customers, ensuring rigorous standards are met and exceeded.

Essential Functions

• Develop and manage quality documentation, including Design Qualification (DQ), Operational Qualification (OQ), and Performance Qualification (PQ) protocols, test plans, and reports.
• Review and ensure the accuracy and compliance of qualification documentation.
• Plan and oversee test schedules, supporting test engineers during campaigns.
• Advise customers (in English and Spanish) on materials and test samples for thermal and distribution testing.
• Analyze test data and compile technical content for qualification reports and packaging instructions.
• Communicate test status, progress, and results to internal and external stakeholders.
• Maintain a well-organized and clean laboratory using the “5S Methodology.”
• Support laboratory operations, including SOP/WI updates, equipment calibration, and ISTA certification.
• Oversee external testing services for thermal and distribution testing when required.
• Perform thermal calculations, analyses, and simulations of packaging products and cooling media.

 

YOUR IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s/Associate’s degree in mechanical, thermal, or packaging engineering (or equivalent).
• 5+ years of experience in a testing environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; bilingual in Spanish required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel; knowledge of CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks) is a plus.
• Familiarity with testing guidelines (ISTA, ASTM, IATA).
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Analytical thinking and reasoning skills.
• Experience in training technical processes and self-motivation to manage tasks independently.
