ABOUT THE COMPANY

Proximo Spirits, Inc., is a $1B+ American multinational alcoholic beverage company, with its headquarters in Jersey City, New Jersey. It is a major distributor of tequila and other spirits, best known for Jose Cuervo, the world’s largest-selling tequila brand. With over 300 employees, the Lawrenceburg, IN facility (Proximo Distillers Indiana – PDI) bottles about 15 million cases a year for all of North America.

 

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

Reporting to the General Manager/Director of Bottling, the Senior Operations Manager – Warehousing will be based in Lawrenceburg, IN and lead a team of six Staff Leaders and approximately 60 front-line union members to drive operational excellence. This position is responsible for driving Safety, Quality, Continuous Improvement, Team Engagement and Development and operating results for the Warehousing Value Stream. As Proximo continues to implement TPM and operational excellence, this role is responsible for TPM implementation throughout warehousing operations

Other key responsibilities include:

• Execute End-to-End Loss Eradication and drive Zero-loss mindset within logistics operations
• Drive site-wide improvement as the Lean Flow/Logistics Pillar Leader
• Supervise day-to-day plant maintenance and operations personnel to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operation in compliance with warranty requirements, and corporate policies and procedures
• Develop and implement operational strategies and policies to achieve organizational goals and objectives
• Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and subsequent corrective actions
• Collaborate with department heads and Pillar leads to establish and maintain effective communication, ensuring the streamlined flow of information across the organization
• Promote the culture of Proximo’s and PDI’s Values and Principles
• Invest in, coach, and develop the team and your own skillset

 

IDEAL CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering or related field
• Proven experience in operations management, logistics and/or manufacturing environment
• Experience with ERP and WMS Systems

• Proficient in using relevant software and tools to streamline operations and drive continuous improvement
